Lorraine Hound Young - Adoption, Rescue for sale in Allegan, Michigan

Hello there, my name is Lorraine I am a young (approximately 1.5 year old), active happy girl looking for my forever home.

I am curious and affectionate. Time outside is so much fun for me, I sniff around trying to determine where those darn deer and bunnies are hiding.

My ideal day would be spent snooping around outside during a nice walk in the woods and then relaxing with some snuggle time.
I have been told I give very sweet looks to my friends at the shelter.

When they sit with me I love to have my coonhound ears scratched and lean into get more affection.

I like other dogs, and would love to have a buddy to scamper around and play with.

Cats on the other hand, are a game to me so I probably shouldnt be in a home where there are any kitties.

Sometimes I can get a little wiggly looking for some love so I probably would do best with children that are 8 years old and up, but could be great with younger children too if they understand my eagerness to please.

A beginners obedience class would probably do me wonders so I can learn what is expected of me in your home.

I did test positive for heartworms and while I am staying at the shelter, they are treating me with the slow kill method.
